Dubai, May 2, 2025

Materra is pleased to announce that, on May 1, 2025, the Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC) has formally approved the company name “Materra Lab FZCO”, with “Materra” as its working name.

In conjunction with this approval, DMCC has issued the official No Objection Certificate (NOC) required to proceed with the next stages of company formation and regulatory engagement within the United Arab Emirates.

Establishing a Foundation in Dubai

This milestone represents an important step in establishing Materra’s presence within Dubai’s regulated ecosystem for commodities, innovation, and advanced technologies.

With the NOC in place, Materra will proceed with the next phase of its regulatory pathway, including engagement with the Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA) in relation to potential future activities.

All regulatory processes remain subject to formal review, approval, and licensing by the relevant UAE authorities.

Regulatory Alignment and Process

Materra’s approach is grounded in full compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks.

The team continues to engage with the evolving regulatory environment in Dubai and recognizes the progress made in establishing clear, structured pathways for advanced technology and digital infrastructure initiatives.

Any future licensing activities will be pursued in accordance with all applicable requirements and procedures set by the relevant authorities.

Strategic Context

Establishing a base within DMCC supports Materra’s broader objective of operating within a regulated and institutionally aligned environment.

Dubai’s position as a global hub for commodities, innovation, and forward-looking regulatory frameworks provides a strong foundation for research-driven initiatives at the intersection of advanced materials and emerging infrastructure systems.

Looking Ahead

This milestone marks the beginning of Materra’s formal establishment within the UAE.

Further updates will be shared as regulatory processes progress and additional steps are completed.
